Contradictions in Gospel of John

The gospel of John has some contradictions between the King James version and New International Version. Why? 100 or 75 King James Version New International Version “And there came also Nic-o-de’mus, which at the first came to Jesus by night, and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, aboutan hundred pound weight.” John 19:39 “He was accompanied by Nicodemus, the man who earlier had visited Jesus at night.
