Worlds Biggest Christian Polygamist :: Polygamy in Christianity

Worlds Biggest Christian Polygamist

The massive clan from Mizoram, India, is the world’s largest family — and they got together recently to pose for a picture that shows how they give new meaning to the term “Big Love.”

The family is headed by patriarch Ziona, a Christian polygamist with 39 wives, 94 children, 14 daughters-in-law and more than 40 grandkids. That’s 181 family members.

“Today I feel like God’s special child,” said, Ziona, 67. “He’s given me so many people to look after. I consider myself a lucky man to be the husband of 39 women and head of the largest family.”

Another SON OF GOD ???????????

The clan lives in a massive, purple-painted 100-room, four-story compound they call “Chhuanthar Run,” or “The House of the New Generation.”

The wives have to keep cooking fires going all day to feed their battalion. Each day, the clan goes through 220 pounds of rice, 132 pounds of potatoes, and 154 pounds of meat.

The younger wives all live in a large dormitory that is connected to Ziona’s 600-square- foot private bedroom. The older wives, who are considered “out of use,” stay in another area of the home on the first floor.

Ziona likes to have seven or eight wives by his side at all times.

“We stay around him most of the time, as he is the most important person in the house,” said Rinkimi, 35, who has been married to the clan leader for 11 years. “Serving him is like serving God. He’s the most handsome person in this whole village. I feel blessed to have him as my husband.”

Man Like GOD….Well Why not If Jesus can be,Why he can;t be ? they will make anyone GOD ?

Ziona runs his own Christian religious sect that believes they will soon be ruling the world with Christ.

Ziona — whose name is local lingo for “Zionism” — also leads some 400 other families that believe in his brand of Christianity, which has been rejected by mainstream Christians in the northeast part of India.

His Brand of Christianity ?

He picks his wives from penniless peasant girls from the area. His eldest son, Parliana, 50, thinks his dad is doing the women a service.

“Most of the women whom my father married were poor and orphan women of this village,” the son said. “By marrying them, he has set an example in the history of mankind.”

The women are led by Ziona’s eldest wife, Zathiangi, 69, who he met at age 17. All the women and daughters have jobs in the house, from cooking for the wives to cleaning and washing for the girls. The males go out to work during the day.

“I have been married to Ziona the longest, and everyone in the family respects me. I take pride in looking after my husband and the family,” Zathiangi boasts.

Well Truly he is following the BIBLE :

In Exodus 21:10, a man can marry an infinite amount of women without any limits to how many he can marry.

In 2 Samuel 5:13; 1 Chronicles 3:1-9, 14:3, King David had six wives and numerous concubines.

In 1 Kings 11:3, King Solomon had 700 wives and 300 concubines.

In 2 Chronicles 11:21, King Solomon’s son Rehoboam had 18 wives and 60 concubines.

In Deuteronomy 21:15 “If a man has two wives, and he loves one but not the other, and both bear him sons….”

Do you have anything else to spread your religion? Say some thing good about your religion instead of putting down someone else. If I also start saying the bad things about people in your religion doing facebook will not be enough. Stop blaming Jesus for your personal benefit. Christians may not attack you now in this world, but if you believe there is a life after death, beware, BIG judgement is waiting for you for accusing about the savior of mankind. It is JESUS CHRIST and only JESUS CHRIST

You are mistaken that this is “The World’s Largest Family.” It’s not bad, but I’m acquainted with four families larger than this one.
I served a prison term of six years 2001-2007 in the Utah (USA) State Prison for having five wives, an old Utah tradition. I have 34 living children (+one deceased). I’m 63-yrs-old, but I know four men, all of whom were raised in Fundamentalist Mormon Plural (Polygamous) families who each have over 100 children. The largest, with whom I’m personally acquainted, and have met about half of the nearly 200 children, keeps the actual number private. But each of these four men are about ten years younger than I, and quite a bit younger than “Ziona.”
All of these four men with over 100 children are quite well to do; one has his own $35 million Gulfstream jet, and a home like a hotel. What’s amazing to me is that the great majority of the children of these families, especially the largest one, graduate from high school in their mid-teens and by the time they reach their 20’s they have impressive college degrees – even the daughters who also are having large families with their own plurally-married husbands.
And a great number of those college graduates from these large families go on to get either multiple college degrees and / or advanced post-graduate degrees: Masters and / or Ph.D. degrees. So, you have it on my word that Ziona’s family is nowhere near the “Worlds Largest Family.”

What??? “Fundamentalist” means (in my case) that I follow the Fundamental (Original) precepts of Mormonism, as opposed to the “Modern” adaptations that have been made to make the L.D.S. (“Mormon”) Church more “relate-able” to people in mainstream society (what we call “the World). But, following a set of beliefs does not (in our case) preclude taking advantage of technology. We’re not Amish, after all. Though I know some of them and admire them. Tom Green

you know fellow commenters, you seem to know some stuff about Christianity, but who’s to say that everything in YOUR version of Christianity is all true. There are many versions of every religion especially Christianity. i think that you guys can agree with me that some of the other christian churches have some things right but other thing wrong. well i’d like for you to check out this poem. http://www.constitution.org/col/blind_men.htm .Its about people who only see and believe what they have experienced, and they believe it to be fact because they felt it with their own hands. See they think that they know the truth and the others are wrong about it. The thing is they all have been “revealed” different parts of the same thing. So if you think that this man’s beliefs and practices( especially the plural marriage part) are wrong than maybe you should think that maybe they have touched a different part of the elephant of religion than you have. So can you at least let them believe what they came down to this earth to believe with out bashing them? If they believe things that you know aren’t in the bible like that that man thinks he is Jesus or something than you don’t have to point it out to us, because any good christian would already know that.
